ADUMASA LINK PROJECT

Brief History

In 1993/94, a team of missionaries who were members of the ‘Youth with a Mission” group visited Ghana; their plan was to work with Methodist Church; however their program clashed with the Methodist International Conference. This prompted some leaders of the Methodist Church to contact Mr. Prince Appiah-Fei then a presbyter of the Ramseyer Presby Church to draw a program for them. Thus after a series of consultations with Mr. S.Y. Bojor the then senior Presbyter and Rev. Offei Addo the then District minister decided to host them.

As part of the plan of activities, an outreach program was jointly organized by the Ramseyer Bible Study and Prayer Group and Choral singers. The result of this outreach was the establishment of a church on the 24th of August, 1994. To keep this new church going, the Missionaries, left an amount of 35pounds as seed money.

Achievements

Through their efforts, most especially Rosemary Curtis, the Adumasa Church and the L/A primary school established a partnership with the Baptist Church at Kingsbridge and all Saints Primary School in Hurlstone who have helped in many diverse ways through the supply of reaching and sporting materials. Also, a three unit classroom block and an office for the Junior High School has been constructed.
