ACTIVITY: TALK (CREATIVITY AND CREATIVE THINKING)
SPEAKER: MR. KOBINA BOSOMTWE
SUMMARY: Creativity is the activity of bringing into existence something out of your surrounded or available resources.
The speaker talked about some myths that people have about creativity and creative thinking. These include the following:
1. It is a natural gift given to some people.
2. It comes in a flash. etc.
These myths were to be dismissed because they are not the truth.
Creativity is an ability that we have and only come when we make the effort to bring it into being.
It was discovered that if our ability of creativity was to improve then we ought to have a lot of thinking time, brainstorming and also have the zeal to pursue an idea we have generated out of creativity.
There were illustrations like “Gyapa” Coal pot which is made in Ghana.
Finally we settled that we are all creative and we have to put it to use to the benefit of everyone.
Total number of members in attendance was forty four (44).
