Introduction
The Youth Ministry Choir (YMC) is a wing of the Young People’s Guild (YPG) of Ramseyer Presby Church, Adum. It was formed with the idea of having a mass choir for the Youth and Students week celebration in the month of February, 2003.
However, after the youth week celebration, it was deemed necessary to maintain the group as a singing ministry for the church in general and youth ministry in particular.
The Youth Ministry Choir (YMC) ministers in all kinds of Christian songs,(contemporary, traditional, Hymns etc.) and since its formation it has gone through a lot of reformation until the 1st July,2005 when it was formally inaugurated as the first service choir of the Ramseyer Presby Church, Adum. In August 2008 in view of the purpose of our calling the name changed from Youth Ministry Choir (YMC) to Restoration Voices and since then lives have been restoring, crooked road been made straight through our songs ministration. The group meets Tuesdays and Fridays each week at 5:30pm.
Statistics
The choir has a current total membership of 45 dominated by students. Out of the total membership 25 are females and 20 males.
Aims/Objectives
- To mobilize the youth into the formation of a singing ministry.
- To win more souls for Christ into the church through song ministration.
- To transform life style among the youth through songs.
Activities
- Rehearsal and learning of songs
- Robbing during church service
- Honoring invitation (musicals, launching, wedding etc.)
Achievements
- Formation of the youth choir at Ebenezer Presby Church, Winneba
- Training of instrumentalists
- Improvement of Christian life style of members
